• Who We Are

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
    James 1:27

BASIC International was established January 16th, 2013 in Portland, Oregon.

Founder Adrian Rusnac went to Haiti in 2011, shortly after the devastating earthquake, and fell in love with the people and country. From then on, he made several more trips back to do disaster relief. In 2013, he decided he wanted to do more and started BASIC International. He has combined his passions for travel and Jesus to create a non-profit that would serve internationally, as well as locally to provide disaster relief. BASIC International wants to enhance the quality of life for others that aren’t as fortunate, but also wants to bring them the word of eternal life through the gospel.

Currently, BASIC International has built a church in Mare Rouge, Haiti and now working on a clean water project for the community.

Also, at the end of 2015, BASIC Internation is hoping to travel overseas again to Cambodia to create a new connection there to spread the gospel, as well as help the struggling communities.
